Description
Abarat Village sits deep in Yemen's East Haraz region at 2000 meters, high enough that the air carries a chill even in summer, and the coffee cherries take their time. Farmer Taher Saleh Abarat cultivates a blend of Ja'adi, Udaini, Dawairi, and Old Typica varieties here, processing each lot himself on traditional African raised beds and sun-drying them naturally in the mountain air.
The care shows in the cup. Taher's coffee opens with a bright, juicy acidity; vivid and immediate, that settles into a medium-length finish with just enough warmth to keep you reaching for another sip. It's Yemen coffee beans with personality: not the loudest in the room, but the one you keep thinking about after you leave.
A single farmer nano lot, processed entirely by hand. Limited availability each season.
Tasting notes: Bright, juicy acidity. Warm sweetness. Medium lingering finish.
